I don’t know what you’re talking about, I’ve never seen anything biased or bizzare on Deadspin before.
A more appropriate headline: LAPD Detective Investigating Derrick Rose Rape Case Found Dead of Apparent Suicide
I normally make a mental jag-off motion when people whine about click-baity heds, but in this instance, I kinda see where he’s coming from. From the LA Times:
It’s an apparent suicide. There’s no mystery behind this fatal shooting. Implying there is in the headline is to imply that Rose might be involved in it somehow.
Coverage to this point has repeatedly and nauseatingly insinuated that Rose is guilty of rape and this choice of headline is intentionally vague to 1) drive traffic and 2) drive speculation that Rose is somehow involved. “Found Fatally Shot” implies mystery when this is obviously regarded as an apparent suicide.
Wait, how did the Clintons get involved in the Rose case??!?
I think we can rule out Derrick as a suspect if you just review his shooting percentage
Sarcasm must be lost on a guy who might be a Habs fan.
Sounds like a typical day in Buffalo
well we certainly appreciate you getting the ball rolling
Yeah, it’s a civil case so money is the only issue. I could just as easily call her a money grubbing slut as you called him a rapist. Goes both ways.
“I’m sure you have better things to write with to earn readers instead of endless angry augments.”
I’d also like to add that this article was made to shit on this show after ONE episode has aired (as of today). It’s really a typical kotaku article. So thank you, Cecilia, for doing the opposite of what you set out to do.
What I don’t understand is why, despite cultural differences, American anime fans see Keijo!!!!!!!! and laugh it off, unmoved that, in this show, women are valued at the sum total of their body parts.
Judging by their other articles, yes.
