“I came here to kick ass and chew bubble gum. And I’m all out of bubble gum.” Rowdy Roddy Piper

That’s what being an ally is. Listening, asking, “what can I do to help” and then ACTUALLY DOING IT

Have you read “Into Thin Air” by Jon Krakaur? It’s really good. I never thought I’d like to read about an Everest expedition, but it was very interesting. The movie about the expedition is called Everest, but the book fills in sooo many details, and it came first.

Idea I’m ashamed crossed my mind: a rock opera about the Trump Administration.

This is also a problem with a lot of college professors.

Neil deGrasse Tyson, Elon Musk, and Ben Carson each embody the problems of having only a science background with no wider knowledge of the liberal arts as well as the fallacy of being smart in one thing gives your opinion and views weight in all topics.

Now would be a good time for those “Apprentice” outtakes to surface...and his tax returns. Gods, would I love to see those tax returns...

Ma, Ma, where’s my pa?

Matthew Calamari? David Pecker? C’mon.

You read about that Louisiana nut-case Mrs. Wendy Vitter (wife to diaper- wearing prostitute-frequenting failed Senator David Vitter) and her nomination hearing for judgeship? She’s been very vocal and has published & posted her views that birth control kills and that Planned Parenthood is responsible for 150,000

I can’t believe that I live in a world where Donald Trump can find a near-unlimited number of women to flop around on and sweat all over.

Trump will be impeached then re-elected so I don’t understand this question. You don’t seem to understand how many congressmen it takes to remove a president. No way that many republicans would knowingly do what’s right for the country.

do you think we can ever bridge the ideological divide that’s happening in America?

I think there’s always been a pretty stark ideological divide in this country, it’s just more prominent because so many more people are able to have a platform. Party ID has definitely become more entrenched, there used to be conservative democrats and liberal republicans in a way that there aren’t really today but

If it’s any consolation, America has been a pretty divided nation in various ways pretty much since the beginning. Which means that there’s both little hope, and a reasonable amount of hope that things may get better.

Yeah that’s why I take no joy with the Cohen stuff. I mean, of course, I want trump and his cronies to go down, but it’s not like it’s going to be some utopia once they’re done.

It’s going to end the same way every Trump business ends: the USA will be completely bankrupted and owned by another country.

Came here to say the same thing. When I was a freshman in high school about 15 years ago, a trans girl was bullied to the point she was withdrawn from school by her parents. I know that still happens all the time, but my heart warmed a bit when it said that her classmates were rallying around her.

Because of course the only reason you would relive your assault in public, so strangers can decide if you’re lying or not, is money.
