We are obligated to come to Ukraine’s defense, too.

Levy told Jalopnik the accident happened when his car was left at an airport parking lot; while he was away, somebody had backed into the bumper.

Authentic Jalops are partial to air pressure wipers.

That’s probably how they both act as well, seeing as I have heard many stories that Christian and Horacio are both extremely humble individuals. That’s a given since they both started supercar companies from scratch and are now both extremely competitive manufacturers.

“I’m about to spec my Huayra. I want it to match my Agera’s pinstripe so I drove it down.”

“Hey Kevin? Yeah it’s Christian...doing great buddy, how about yourself? Oh that’s good, hey while I have you on the phone why is your car at Pagani?”

The experience has “definitely made me more of a cautious driver,” while commenting on his 5 month+ wait for his repairs

Because even though we’re yet to see the production version of the 3; it will be better, faster, prettier, and cheaper than any other car that has ever existed.

Really? I very much see it in the Apple realm, myself.

...yet how much energy is used by the petroleum sector to create gasoline, also to transport all that oil to facilities....hint a lot. It still is far more energy efficient than all the resources into ICE. That gas doesn’t grow on trees.

I see you have an 85D. Had you sprang for the 100D, they would have aligned it a little better.

the differnece here is, luxury automakers can afford to have those owners drive another car that they also own, where as a camry driver who gets a Model 3 is not going to have another car lying around.

Sheeple

I had this conversation with someone who used to work at a Tesla approved body shop (which was also a certified body shop for other makes). According to him, while the established brands had tons of information on how to tear down/rebuild a car, Tesla had nothing....as if they figured out how to build the car but

You don’t repair consumer electronics, you replace them. Sheesh people.

Another trick: An old co-worker plus wife were renting a car to drive to a bigger airport 150 miles away. They get there to pick up the car and they’re REALLY pushing for them to get a SUV or mini-van for X amount of money. Tells them no-no-no, don’t need the extra space for 2.5 hour drive. Finally gets down to it

I always ask jokingly but seriously “upgrade for free?” when they say that and go from there.

Get rental car insurance. It’s well worth the investment because if there is an issue, you don’t have to go through the hassle of reporting it. (especially to car insurance). I had an incident where a mirror was cracked in the lot where I left the returned car overnight. What a pain.

I had this happen to me once. Except I wasn’t told it wasn’t a upgrade. The guy just said ‘How is a Hyundai Tucson?’ and I said ‘Sounds good’. Turns out that was an upgrade from the shitbox I tried to rent but it wasn’t ever mentioned. Luckily work paid for it anyway, but it was an extra $100 because its an ‘SUV’ and
