I find this sort of ironic because I first became aware of TBJ when they started appearing on Grantland.

Will Top Gear continue, yes. But will "Top Gear" be able to survive...no.

I kinda get used to them always making fun of each other's wardrobe during the show, but it's still funny to see that they actually dress like that in real life.

I just got really sad

God, dammit. that's funny. And that makes me sad because we won't have more great lines like this from the trio on Top Gear :(

That's the joke, netflix calls anything they produce original including arrested development.

Except Top Gear was a wonderful show. 2 1/2 Men was awful, just completely and utterly awful.

True, that statement was brilliant. In my opinion, May is the only one of the three who is genuinely funny, but I think that he needs other people as catalysts (such as Oz Clarke in their boozing shows, for example).

I agree - the fact that he was able to come up with that off the cuff is brilliant.

Mr. May can wear whatever the fuck he wants.

Someone yesterday suggested Netflix, that would be the perfect situation for them. Netflix has the money, and will let them do whatever they want as long as they get ratings.

They have an easily international audience and they've proven they're able to fund bigger budget projects. TG 3.0 should be online.

Yeah a slap on the wrist would not have been sufficient but I think firing and putting everyone's job at risk might be a bit overboard. There was a good middle ground that could have been found if the BBC really wanted to.

I'm still rather amazed at just how "open" James May's home is to the world.
