It's possible she didn't want to conflate an actual Jewish religious practice with evil dark magic.

I would argue that's just what happens when the justice system fails systemically. When there is no justice extrajudicial killing is reasonable, that's why we need a just system, and at the time we didn't have one. The fact that this killing was right is proof of why we need our justice system to work right.

A doughnut with frosting that looks like a watermelon is about as close as most Americans get to a healthy snack.

Well then she should have been eating a white person snack like… bread?

If you already don't like a movie that doesn't come out until next fucking year then you might be a racist.

She said she didn't realize it was racist imagery until someone explained to her about Black women's hair. What about the watermelon? I mean I like watermelon as much as the next person but I find it really hard to believe she was just eating lunch in the middle of her music video.

Hot Cheetos can't count. Those are too new to be involved in a legitimate stereotype, that's some ironic hipster racist stereotype shit.

Actually, the whole thing exists in service of a single Orange Julius joke.

It's not even hentai, it's doujinshi. Hentai is animated. He was reading manga.

I wouldn't expect this movie to have any more fidelity than the comics being written during the war. I'm just saying it was an awkward arbitrary decision, and as far as statements on the war it wasn't exactly Blackadder Goes Fourth.

Yeah, I enjoyed it. I also think that All Quiet On the Western Front would have been more fun if it had ended in a CGI fight instead of the horrors of war.

They like to use WWII because there were good guys and bad guys. There is no reason to believe that Wonder Woman wouldn't have agreed with Siegfried Sassoon that WWI was a war of profit, no reason to think that if she were going to jump in that she wouldn't join the Germans. The British have a really twisted narrative

So he's responsible for the WWI setting that is all kinds of troubling.

If any business were to make any kind of habit of something like this then their intentions wouldn't really matter next to the results. Illegal discrimination does require a pattern of unequal treatment though.

Is there any concern that a women only screening creates separate classes of customer? Some guy up thread pointed out that women might prefer this showing because excluding men would effectively exclude a bunch of loud mouthed assholes who hurt the experience. I'm not sure I buy that premise, but if it is true then

I don't even know how to change the font in Disqus.

"I got your gabagool right here!"
*Grabs crotch and shakes*

The mask is actually animatronic now. The body is still CGI though.

So Hippolyta actually took some magic out.

Unless he gets you with a Stranglehold, that one actually works.
