How can you not just love that guy. As he and the others age, I also find myself enjoying them more. This season of GT has been pretty damn good so far

1.2% of white americans owned slaves at the height of slavery.
Is also like she forgot that England was working to abolish the slave trade (that it helped to start) in 1833, and had outlawed it on English soil in the late 1700's. So no America didn’t do shit until the rest of the English speaking world moved on
Yet another variation on the theme “Why y’all keep bringing up old shit?”
I went to high school with no fewer than four Mikes Trout.
I’m fully a member of the Church Of Barry, and Bonds is easily the best HITTER I’ve ever seen, but what Trout’s done his first 7 years is Truly Some Willie Mays Shit.
I seriously wonder if Trout’s low public profile is mostly the result of his having a face so generic and unmemorable that the CIA has approached him for clandestine work.
Ugh I hate when people claim a guy who only hit 762 home runs is “great.” Like sure, he won 4 straight MVPs from 01-04, but his OPS was only 1.368 over this stretch. People act like it’s impressive that he put up an OBP of .609 one year, but I’m not buying it.
In the interest of fairness, Barry Bonds was the greatest baseball player I’d ever seen live until I saw Trout live last year. Like that guy was really, really, really good.
I’m almost finished with the Bob Woodward book. The only way I can get through it and not have panic attacks is to pretend it’s a novel.
You’d think the party that cries about lazy, lifelong government employees collecting big paychecks needing to be fired would at least try to make it look like they’re working.
I read the title and thought I clicked on “The Onion”, by accident.
What carlvenkman said. I played tennis in high school and if you played literally any tournament outside of school (which if you are any good, you would do) then you had to be a USTA member.
Not really. USTA and ITF have rankings that are easily checked. That’s why they need to pay off the person who would be checking the rankings—the coach.
First they want to take 70 percent of our income and now this. I’m not going to grow any more businesses or create any more jobs because it just doesn’t pay to be rich at this point!
I feel bad for the unwitting kids, but as for the parents, this is a great day in Schadenfreude. I think this is what is meant by the hoarding of opportunity.
Not enough stars for this.
