First time I saw an FJ40 I was driving down highway 1 in Florida, saw it parked facing north, and had to blink several times to figure out it wasn’t a Wrangler. Bumped into a yellow one a few miles from home (attached) the next year.

As a rabid FJ40 fanatic, I am assuming they bought the body dies back from the Brazilians, added a few air bags, a turbo diesel motor, power steering, and maybe AC, and will be re-issuing the standard FJ40, updated for the modern world. Look at the money Icon is making Toyota! That is what the people want!

Honestly the FJ would have kept selling if they updated the damn thing. Didn’t the outgoing version have a four speed transmission???
