It's about the cream cheese frosting, baby, the CREAM CHEESE FROSTING.

I found Nicky's flashback was inconsistent too. I didn't mind she came from privilege, but her way of speaking was so different from her mother's - I wanted something that bound them together. I started to wonder if she was adopted. When they were in the lawyers office, they were so different, it looked like a

"Mama said" was played ironically, like Flaca wore her kitchen uniform ironically. The song is haunting because she DIDN'T listen to what her mother said, and she didn't care about sewing - but did it because she had to. In a way, this may be Flaca's coming-of-age moment, a girl into a woman, because she can now

For me, Cesar pulling a gun on his kid and forcing him to eat his vegetables (french fries) was a low for the show and particularly stereotypical.

Love you, Myles, but red velvet cake is not bullshit. It's got a history behind it, particularly in the Southern states, and it's also pretty to look at.

Thanks for your detailed response, Myles. I agree with you, I do believe the stars "aligned" themselves, but in a way that may have been justice for Flaca's victim.

I didn't see your comment before I wrote mine above, but agree with you 100%.

I agree, several characters seem adrift looking for a story line. And Piper didn't real have to deal with Vee, so she wasn't that involved last season either.

I appreciate your reviews Myles, but maybe I missed something here with the Flaca story line. I LOVED Flaca's back story and the way it was acted in this episode. The drugs made sense to me and the fact that she and her mother were involved in counterfeiting bound them together, but Flaca felt that sewing clothes

SPOILERS (all 13 episodes watched):

I wish they would remix, re-sing or change that goddamn theme song, do a black or salsa version - the way that Kohan did with Weeds.

I agree.

I feel the same way. I love that the character is not watered down - that's brave for the writer and the actress. She's fun to watch.

I felt the same thing from Sophia - no irony in the way it was delivered. Honestly, and I hope it gets better, this season so far (I'm 3 episodes in) feels off to me. Piper's character feels crazy, I don't get her motivation anymore.

I did laugh at that. But it was the only thing I laughed at. I used to laughing all the way through the episode.

I am shocked that this received an A - I thought it might get an F. I felt like it was 1982 and I was watching "A Very Special Episode of Veep".

Amen, I couldn't agree with you more.

What about "get back here Hunk-of-the-Month."

I screamed at that.

I hope everyone gets sunburned. That shit was corny no matter who it was about.
