This doesn’t surprise me. Other companies are doing it. Nintendo sees a chance to make more money and jumps on the bandwagon.
Physical media isn’t infallible. Discs can get scratched or cracked. That said, it is nice to be able to watch a movie any time you want to, which is I do have physical media copies of most of my all time favorite movies.
