Anyone with a working knowledge of the gaming industry could assume those two platforms will eventually be on the way. Evidently, someone at TCL just put them in as placeholders in the presentation and stirred up a frenzy.

Yeah, but Microsoft and Sony have done (and will no doubt keep doing) all kinds of bullshit too. If you’re a gamer, it often comes down to “choose the lesser evil”.

Bigger isn’t necessarily better. If the increased length of a game is primarily due to more side quests and searching for rare goodies and unlockables, that’s not necessarily that compelling to me.

This is either some Hollywood account bullshit going on or the company has insanely unrealistic sales goals for their games.

I don’t think it’s fair to say all addicts “enjoy their addiction”. Addictions can be extremely harmful and destructive if they get out of control.

Maybe he knew someone who worked there that helped. Maybe he used to work there and knew how to get in. Maybe the second shop has shitty security (or an easily breachable door or window). Who knows?

I don’t mind open world games, but it seems like almost every big AAA title coming out these days is either open world world or an FPS. Can we get some love for other genres?
