I really like the 944 NA over the 944 Turbo for heavy track abusin'. No turbo lag and more room in the engine bay for fixing its inevitable breakage. Still infinitely tossable and hilarious on a track.

Haha! Nail on the head. Also I find it funny that they have a "lifetime" timing belt now. They obviously don't expect people to own or at least maintain these cars for more than 160k. Lifetime...pfff.
A logical step for VW. They already have standardized the failure of every electrical component in the car within 5 years of purchase.
