This. They’re ugly and only look good when covered in vines and plants but they rarely are. They’re always thse bare white things that serve no purpose whatsoever. 

Can someone explain pergolas like the ones in Rick Ross’s instagram? They don’t seem to provide much shade. Is it to lend visual interest?

It was kind of difficult to eat at buffets before, though. You just knew there was something unhygienic about the general public handling the tongs & coughing/sneezing near the food. You knew they weren't washing their hands as soon as they walked in the door. It was never worth it.
