AC comes from running the engines though, no? They don’t have enough fuel to run one engine for hours, so when they’re sitting like that they usually shut down completely. Which then gets hot as shit inside.

Yes that is true (effect of high temperatures on lift), but that would not be a good hypothesis for what happened here. Tarmac delays that long are almost always issues with the destination airport , not the takeoff airport.

7500 rpm near 100 hp/l V8 for the price of an Integra? People will bitch, and the car has flaws, but it's cool this still exists in 2023.

They are specifically talking about these Korean POS’s and you cannot tint a front window so the cretins can see it is not “clubed”

The platforms would be well within their rights to remove these videos. It’s considered reasonable moderation under Section 230. Ironically, in this situation, forcing the platforms to leave the content up would be a first amendment violation covered under the Compelled Speech Doctrine.

I don’t understand.  Are you saying that they couldn’t have protested in a way that didn’t result in spray paint draining into the ocean?  Maybe it’s a small thing - but it’s the first thing I noticed about their protest, and it absolutely took away from whatever point they were trying to make.

Most of the hate Mustangs get is unwarranted. They are fabulous daily drivers. I spent about 12 years daily driving Mustangs and enjoyed every minute of it. It may not be the fastest, best handling, or most comfortable car on the road, but it’s a great mix of all those things, especially for the price.

The root cause is still Kia/Hyundai.  Kids and their parents also bear responsibility.  I am not sure if TikTok can actually prohibit these videos due to First Amendment; I am not a Constitutional lawyer.  If Tiktok or youtube does NOT have to ban these videos, you can see that Corporate profits beats social

A company’s stock price going down and causing the valuation to go down is not the same as “costing the company billions.”

Unfortunately the largest quantities of stocks are held by a small number of individuals or firms. Their goal is to extract as much value and wealth in as short a period of time as possible. That leads to the dominance of short term thinking, at the expense of long term stability.

Tesla’s stock price and valuation stopped making sense in a long time ago in terms of the size of the company and overall market share. There are so many promised breakthroughs and “later this year” items already priced into the current valuation that I think everyone has simply lost track of what has already been

That may be a good thing. I doubt they’re releasing videos showing Amazon drivers at their best.

The article tells us nothing about the content of the videos.

Go watch the last week tonight segment on it. There are a lot of things at work with HOA’s and why they exist. I am personally not a fan and wouldn’t live in one unless it was super limited in powers.

You just made the case for Congress to re-regulate airfares! I'd support it.

If he had payed the higher one-way direct flight fare, would he have been on the same flight at the same time, to the same destination?

It seems like a bad idea to for the airlines to try and outright combat this. All it does is raise public awareness and point a spotlight on their “contract of carriage”, which they use to get away with all kinds of anti-customer service things.

I couldn’t agree more. I did something like this many years ago when trying to get from Oslo to Vienna for a reasonable price. It was a bit different though - a round trip was cheaper than a one-way trip so I booked the round trip and didn’t take the flight back to Oslo.

An empty seat is a ticket unsold to the money minds who make air travel tick.
