Only two reasons I know of. One is it was a popular (at least in my area) way to mark a place to buy drugs in the 90's. The other is to be an ass/bully to somebody you don't like. 'Oh nice pair of $100 sneakers. Why don't I throw them up here where you'll never get them down from?'

I have great depth perception! We'd make a perfect team.

That thread is insane. I believe it though.

Need the utility and usability of a pickup truck but can't run afoul of HOA rules? No problem!

There was a case of an elderly woman who forgot to pay her HOA fees for a couple months and they legally seized her house and sold the damn thing, and the house was already paid off.

My gosh that's amazing. Virginia actually did something that wasn't idiotic and inconvenient for all involved.

Jesus Christ I hate HOA's with a passion. I understand common sense covenants like "No cars on blocks" or "Don't paint your house neon tye-dye" but for fucks sake, they DON'T own the house is question and the value argument is questionable at best.

Man, some HOA's think they are Gods. I was recently fined for having a dead tree in my yard (its winter, everyone's palm trees are dead) in a yard that they maintain....

The Wife is better educated, more attractive, more popular, a better person, and soon to be making far more money than I, The Man.

And I'm ok with that. Because I can still kick her ass.

BROFIST

I gotta admit, I derive some small amount of satisfaction from the Senate's number one opponent of civil liberties having her computer rifled through by the CIA. It's about time she got treated the way she advocates treating innocent Americans.

Rumors of 100 Millions Euros + 25 Millions promised investments, higher bid than HIG.
No 'Murica private equity, freakin good news.

This really should be our national anthem. We need to stop pussyfooting around it.

I wouldn't lump all of the TNG movies together as my favorite, because most of them are garbage. However, First Contact is definitely my favorite piece out of the breadth of Star Trek. Mostly because of the epic soundtrack by Jerry Goldsmith.

You forgot one!

Tell some Gulf oil multi-billionaire that if he omissions a high-speed track with a 10-mile straight, he gets a free copy of any car that takes a speed run there.
