Man, the current Giulia Quadrifoglio weighs 3800 pounds so I wonder how much the new one will weigh? It’s hard to get the weight down on a modular platform since the bits also have to take the larger vehicle into account so a lot of weight savings are left on the table. Still, it’s nice to see there will be a next gen

Man, maybe I'm too early to the conversation since I was hoping to see some muskoteers defending his charity. Hopefully this shows up on MSNBC!

Man, all the other stuff aside, the infrastructure debacle is the worst. This is an area where goverment really needed to step up with making sure a charging standard and the support systems were going to be in place and adjusting everything for a smooth transition. It didn’t have to be overnight since the US is a big

That’s what I was thinking, was the water consumed as in irreparably consumed or just used to cool the crypto rigs then cycled back into the environment. That’s like the local nuke plant in my former home. They use raw water to cool the plant, probably millions of gallons a year but its not used up in the process.

What’s that Dave? I’ve had a ca= payment since 1992 and even bought cars well outside my income level (never made more than 80k a year and have bought cars you supposedly need 140k a year to buy and own).

I remember when people were worried corporations would somehow figure out how to monetize the internet and... they were right to do so. I almost don’t even bother to open Jalopnik on my phone ever since they plastered a big ad that never goes away and it takes damn near a minute to get to the comments thanks to all

Yeah, I kinda regret trading in my 2009 GT500 for a 2017 GT350 (don’t get me wrong, I love a GT350 so much I traded my 2017 in on a 2020 when they updated the chassis and aero) but that GT500 was stoopid muscle car fun. One of these days I’m going to get another since everybody slobs over the 13/14 cars and the 2010

lol, if that were the case the VW Vanagon would have been a rolling execution chamber.

The good ‘ol Oogle Carburetor with the alternative story Big Oil pulled a Hoffa on him.

Well volunteer indicates “for free”, it is an interesting gig but being a footnote in history without compensation is a deal killer. I’m retired and still in the age range and I’m looking for something to do and this would be cool if there were a few stacks going into the bank account.

Man, bad credit is bitch! Especially when the loan shark has to make sure everybody else pays on time.

Ain’t no way they are giving up those sweet tourist dollars.

The Cybertruck still has to meet the FMVSS and they let Tesla do that since NHTSA doesn’t approve vehicle designs. NHTSA just sets the standard.

That's funny since a lot of US pick-ups require the equivalent of a CDL to drive in Europe since the GVWR is high enough they are classed as commercial vehicles.

You joke about that but Volvo ran into huge customer complaints when they introduced their hot rod 850 T5-R. People bought the “sporty” wagon thinking they were getting a good ol’ trusty and super safe grocery getter for soccer mom. The NSX even ran into some trouble because drivers thought they were getting a suped

a big change in OD can play havoc with the traction management system and even ABS. The rule of thumb is stick within 1-4% of the OE OD unless you have a tuner and can input tire size or diameter. Even then it’s still a good idea to approach the limits carefully until the driver knows how the tires effect the vehicle.

Damn, talk about going down the rabbit hole, cutting the rope then breaking out the boring machine. Guy clearly blew past everything Porhhub had to offer and then some.

You can probably blame that on enthusiast magazines. The same ones that told Americans they wanted snappy tight handling sedans with sporty tires using aspect ratios less than 50 that are better suited for narrow curvy European roads than clogged 8 lane highways that only bend going over the horizon. US manufacturers

We get the government we deserve. We literally live in a country where chucklefucks would rather have a Superbowl holiday than a voting holiday. Our government is so shitty with a high degree of distrust because of the disengagement which of course politicians have seized on.

6 mpg isn’t that bad when a car is running that hard. My car on track with around half the power will get as little as 4 mpg. The only way F1 us going to get 19 mpg on pump gas (engines are going to take a hit in effciency since comp ratios will be lower) would be to do a hybrid where the engine is a range extender.
