Where have you been? Challengers and Chargers are the preferred carnage mobile of choice when it comes to takeovers and pop-ups. Mustangs are so last gen.

Muscle cars were never coupes, they were intermediate body two-door sedans modified for performance. The closest thing today is the Challenger, but I suppose Charger fits the bill if you can ignore the more-door configuration and if that’s the case then the Model S fills the bill pretty well.
Then again muscle car and…
Tesla is still in business and the Plaid is an overpowered straight line land yacht. It has some dynamic advantages due to the low center of gravity and the AWD helps but its more or less a one-trick pony.
Probably not as expensive as you think since there will still be a lot of ICE vehicles running around. EVs will dominate all the advanced economies but poorer nations with a lack of infrastructure will still be pounding around in ICE vehicles (not to mention all the hobbyist) so there will be somebody refining oil or…
The costs had been amortized long ago so the platform was effectively a license to print money and it made doing all these SEs super cheap. Plus, people liked them since Dodge’s performance car really captured the muscle car spirit. Even though the Challenger is considered a pony car it filled the bill for a modern…
Would never fly (well technically they would fly but I digress), especially if some tool winged off that into some bystanders or heaven forbid somebody not party to the madness.
Naw, never had a problem just like never had a problem hitting the curbing at a track doing over 100.
Good solid engine unless you are looking to make loads of power and that's just because Ford went with a 281 CID displacement. It's the same engine that goes forever in thr panther cars with different cams and intake.
they go for 40k+ all the time for well cared for nearly stock or stock examples and at some point were pushing 60k.
To be honest this seems like the most pure Bullitt. I was let down with the S-197 version. It was a better car and had a better suspension over the standard GT but they went with a CAI ( plus adaptive tune) over a different intake and instead of say grabbing the GT500's brakes they just used a different pad on the…
Or out of touch Gen-X’er since that was a thing back in the 90's ( not sure how it started but IIIRC it was a creepy line from Hell Raiser - specifically when Kirsty’s uncle Frank wanted to drill her ).
Gonna say nope since a mint Mach 1 goes for around that price and a damn good Terminator can be had for 40k.
Always fun to watch these events. At my local track qe had a guy show up with a GTI kitted out with nitrous. He put the switch next to the steering wheel so he could activate the system with the flick of a finger and keep his hands on the wheel. Unfortunately it wasn’t a momentary switch and just a regular toggle and…
Rick Sanchez tried to warn us!
Maybe they are using an older standard and the MX-5 qualifies as an honest sports car. Back in the day many of these coupes would have been considered two-door sedans since the interior volume was greater than would be considered for a proper coupe. Especially since they include a back seat. The Mustang and Camaro for…
Bullet point two to me seems the biggest factor. Women tend to do a lot of driving things better since they don’t have to massage an ego. Seems to me women often learn faster and end up driving better during HPDE events as well since they operate from a more honest position.
The transmission would still allow the car to accelerate better out of slow corners provided the gearing provided better torque multiplication compared to say the Tesla at a similar RPM and could even things up with the lighter and more powerful Plaid.
It’s tough to say all the same without looking at some telemetry…
lol, elaborate please?
I think the two-speed transmission is huge contributor. It affords the Taycan some finesse where the Plaid is just brute forcing it around the track.
The LX five-liter cars were essentially GTs sans the cladding and you’re forgetting the SVT Cobra in 1993 which was the pinnacle for the fox cars (including the SVO). If you really want to nitpick then the SN95/New Edge cars were essentially just fox cars made as complaint as Ford could with crash regulations at the…
