People weirdly get ejected out of fhe side windows as well. You see it regularly on the Russian dash cam fest and one I remember most vividly was a drag race somewhere in the ME. Guy runs into a dune and sails right out of the side window. Screams for a sec and slams into the road.

That's been a thing since at least the 80's and probably even earlier.

I can’t remember if I saw it on Jalopnik or Autoline but Tesla buyers have the longest loan terms in the industry so the price is practically immaterial to the intenders as long as the bank will back the loan.

Well said!

I'm not saying I'm jealous or anything but that seems like a bucket list item for sure!

Very true in the SE at least. In VA rather than widen sidewalks for multi use or privide a bike lane they are like “ Bike lane??? ROFLAMO.... I mean uh... we’ll just pass a law requiring motorists to give riders a three foot gap “.

That happened to me in 2020 when I ordered my FP blue GT350. Put the deposit down, ordered the car and three months later my salesman called me and said the order had been dropped without reason. It didn’t up too bad though. I was able to get the same car except in shadow black. Normally I don’t care for a black car (

At the same time the owner is responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle regardless of what led to the condition.

I would say nuisance moreso than menace since menace would imply an immediate threat - and if that’s the case then live rock bands ( easily eclipsing the 95 -105 decibel limit many tracks impose on vehicles ) including your typical chainsaw ( which falls in the same range as unruffled exhuast ) could rightly be

When somebody’s stuff egregiously impinges on another then it’s not in the live free and die catagory no matter how much of a boner shitting all over their neighbors gives libertarians.

VA is the same, the vehicle isn’t supposed to be modified in any fashion other than replacement parts that are intended to replace and function as the OE equipment.

The author isn’t off the mark. i cursory glance at New York’s speeding fines indicates 30 or more over the limit is punishable by 150-600 dollars and up to 30 days in jail if the state is so inclined.

Indeed, I imagine tax laws would be crafted so investors would purposely seek out bad investments for losses in the same manner as unrealized gains and be allowed to carry those losses like real estate investors can.

Bars can be held responsible for the actions of their patrons ( and in NM it seems even convenience stores ) so not a big leap and I’m certain there is already close legal precedent.

Well if your really going to go that route power to weight would be a better metric but an “advanced” liscence isn’t going to really solve the problem. It’s a cultural phenomenon more than a skill issue - yes most performance cars exceed the capability of their drivers and knowing the limits of the vehicle is

Well if this is a reprisal I wouldn’t be shocked. The salaried culture in the US is perverse as hell. It’s an open liscence to pretty much abuse the hell out of employees. Especially if it’s a middle management position. Everytime I’ve stepped into a salaried position its been do or die, company first and so on with

While stories like this focus on the little guy the feds really need to step up their game with salaried and middle management folk. The level of abuse there is staggering and helps fuel the us/them attitude at a lot of work places.

As long as they leave out the footnotes its easy to spin the message.

While I was fortunate to get in early at my company it’s the same. Many of the newer workers just don’t have the buying power to afford the stock although we do get profit sharing through a discretionary check in our 401k in addition to the company match.

The only problem is that it pales compared to the stock options

The C4 was no slouch for the era ( remember the car debuted in 84 ) and along with the 3rd gen F-body super competitive in showroom stock racing.
