Well good you came along when you did ( unless of course you have a terminal condition or you're a geezer).

I can’t disagree, a friend of mine fell down the talk news rabbit hole and combine that with a drinking problem and he got scary real quick Literally turned into the quiet guy at work and next door.

Market expectations, apparently Tesla is so far ahead in the EV game ( a decade plus in EV tech ) and apparently is so rapidly gaining in the more conventional areas of car buidling its considered a done deal for legacy manufacturers.

Naw, in base trim its got 495 hp w/optional exhuast and weighs 3400 pounds.

God damn it’s a banner year for the company manufacturing Darwin Awards!

I’ve dealt with many dealerships over the years from different brands and I can tell you those fuckers tend to be average at best. 9/10 you get better information from the owner’s manual than you do the dealership on any given day regardless of the brand and Subaru does insist the owner replace the tires in sets of

Excellent commentary!

Don't smoke or vape in the car. The residue permeates everything and can quickly lower the value of an otherwise great car.

I don’t see how adaptive cruise control with a stick would be hard to do. Ford managed it six years ago on my first S550 Mustang ( loaded GT), it had adaptive cruise control and pre-collision braking. The only problem with those features manual or autotragic is that they caused some issues on track as the logic used

The pre coyote cars are good solid fun if you focus on the chassis. Everybody gives the Shelby GT shit but if you take it as a production Mustang it was the best balanced of the bunch.

Musclecars made it but the Terminator Cobra didn’t.

Let’s see... A80 Supra or 03/04 Terminator?????

In my continuing comments in all things Shelby GT350, I’m going to say Shelby GT350...

“have since been fired”

Very determined people can get themselves qualified. If it’s like my AO they do background checks via interviews with coworkers so that can be very misleading for a variety of reasons.

I’m not so sure, the first NSX was highly praised for its chassis. I’m trying to remember who said it but IIRC it was some nascar old head telling his son the 1st gen NSX was a keeper after he let his old man ring one out on a road course. The car was shockingly good for its time. The current car doesn’t really stand

Maybe hang out on a Camaro board and see how that goes down? You’d be shocked at the people who cross-shop Camaros and Mustangs along with European performance cars. Not so much every day drivers but they love the pony cars as cheap track toys. BMW guys really liked the S-197 Boss 302 and S550 Shelby Mustangs.

Really

That’s no guarantee, I worked a job one time and was constantly told by the manager not to hoon a display car or I would get my walking papers.

No, but if the car suffers a catastrophic engine failure going forward it becomes an issue. If the dealership let’s some rando hoon my car and then blows me off with a free oil & filter change and I go down the road and it blows up and the warranty is denied for “sportive” driving I’d be livid.

Well relative to today. The 944 was no slouch back in the day. It was a strong SCCA competitor ( ran with the hot stuff from GM - vette of course and the 3rd gen 1LE cars ) maybe not as quick as 'murican performance cars but people didn't buy them for drag racing.
