Except for Mustang & truxk/suv/cuv enthusiasts the rest of the blue oval guys want the high margin vehicles to pick up the tab. ST cars might have squeaked by and probably the RS as well but the base cars were either no or negative margin vehicles.

Let the Saudi’s eat cake! Although to be honest Teump is probably sitting in a fucking metric shittonne of Saudi oil and that Badtsrd doesnt give two fucks about the US or his constituents so pissing off every other oil supplier ( like Canada ) is probably part of his con game.

Iwas talking to a buddy at work about the LA Times article on the time Munroe & Associates did a tear down on the Model 3 and saw a bunch of amatuer level manufacturing and design mistakes with the body and chassis but... they are at the top of the game with batteries and motors and have some really novel electronics.

Or hell, just park it and live a modest millionaire lifestyle but yeah with that kind of dough its not hard to make money since people looking to make money off your money are going to seek you out.

fuck it, worth shot! Not too worried about it though since I’m not counting on the lottery to retire... well until Trump fucks the economy up so bad it tanks for like 20 or so years but plan B is to become a heroin dealer if that happens.

The S550  chassis? If that’s what your asking, Hackett killed the next gen car so the S550 soldiers on.

No, its a 5.2 with a cross plane crank. Ford doesn’t like the way the flat plane crank is loaded (axial loading IIRC) in an F/I engine.

305/315 most likely. That’s what the GT350R runs. No reason they can’t do that with the GT500.

The GT500 is just fluff for bench racers - nothing wrong with that mind you its what a GT500 is for. The GT350 is Ford’s track car and they put together a really balanced package with that.

They will go on sale in 2019 as a 2020 model and will be sold along with the final year GT350 making it the first time two Shelby products have been sold concurrently.

GT350R... a really well balanced car with the right amount of power for the chassis plus not too expensive to maintain plus not a lot needs to be done with the car. Pretty much cal up Watson Racing order a roll bar, get a harness for the driver's seat and your done.

Spread the gospel! Early 2nd gen F -cars ( especially the Firebird ) were some of the sexiest cars ever to come out of GM.

Never had that problem in my S-197 or S550 but your post illustrates the issue pretty well. People dont want to conform to the car, they want the car to conform to them.

Sales have been so poor team Camaro probably shot thier wad on the redesign and cant make a case for something better until they budget next fiscal year despite being fairly cheap to do.

Guy Fawkes isnt 'murican enough but Bill the Butcher on the other hand....

Alanis you win the interwebz today with the snappy headline on my grumpy old geezer feed ( aka Facebook )

Hah, somebody did a chop where they grafted the fenders and front fascia from a GT350 on the small VAG crossover... and.... it actually looked... AWESOME!!!!!

Man I wish they would develop a sinus infection shot. I don’t normally suffer from the flu even when I miss the shot but damn do I get a fucking horrible sinus infection every year - ergo if your on the east coast and end up with a nasty sinus infection I’m probably patient zero!

Ford did a decent job around that time. I’ve owned two S-197 Mustangs and two S550 Mustangs and there is a pretty apparent difference in the build quality of those cars.

Well it depends on what Ford going tits up does to the supplier base? If they fold and take a bunch of suppliers with them and it cripples the rest of the industry it could create a cascade effect throwing the country into another deep recession that could last even longer and possibly result in the insolvency of
