When you compare defense spending as a portion of GDP the picture looks different. While we are #1 in dollars spent when viewed through the lens of GDP we are #3 trailing behind Saudi Arabia and Russia.
That’ll probably be in the mix while EV’s will probably pay some sort of road use tax of some sort which has been discussed before - the government would most likely average fuel costs for passenger vehicles in the same class and derive a tax based on that or simply require EV owners to submit a yearly mileage total…
Closing speed only plays a part in reaction time. If two vehicles are approaching at say 50 mph with a closing speed of 100 mph the force imparted to each vehicle will be based on 50 mph not 100 mph.
16 hours is about my limit for driving regardless after that mental fatigue really starts to set in. Stupidly I’ve driven 20+ (drove straight from Kansas to Virginia non-stop) and ended up with a speeding ticket for my effort.
But they don’t... it will be fine for future generations that will never have encountered an internal combustion engine but for people who grew up with these things and don’t really care about minimizing 0-60 or 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, or mile times or delta V or cutting the absolute minimum lap time no amount of effortless…
I’m not a Tesla bro but with the severe lack of wagons in this country ( <facetious statement> go fuck yourselves brodozers bros and you shitty ass SUVs and CUVs and Minivan loyalist </facetious statement> ) I’d rock that!
Was thinking almost the same thing. If the parts are available and in stock for immediate repair then the owner should be sent a letter saying they have 30 days to get the recall issue taken care of.
Feel sorry for them? Not at all - their fate is their own.
On the other hand fortunately or not prison time in the US carries a life sentence. I’ve seen very few cases where a convicted felon amounts to anything more than a middle of the road job if they are lucky.
Moot comparison and joke aside, eventually the issue with bad drivers and cars will be solved with autonomous vehicles. Liscemced drivers simply won’t exist in the future. It will be impossible to use a vehicle for anything other than it’s intended purpose outside of say telling your immaculately detailed people pod…
Im curious if its standard procedure to charge the passenger in something like this? Also curious what the conviction rate is for passengers involved in a street racing homicide ( it’s not an accident obviously )
<facetious statement> Sounds like you got burned with the 07 GT500 and an ADM 3x sticker price with the dealer telling you that it was 1 of 3 including the development vehicle? </facetious statement>
Especially when your company policy is to avoid glory runs! Which I completely understand btw but when the competitor’s 120k sports car appears to flat out kick your super car’s ass then the 500k price tag just isn’t all that compelling.
Could be a space issue as well? I noticed on the GT350 that the regular electric seats sit higher compared to the Recaros ( which lack any sort of electric adjustment ) giving you more head room and in my case not having to lay the seat back in pinp mode when you have a proper ( albeit inexpensive ) helmet on.
