On another note- you know what’s worse than running into a brand nutswinger sporting one of these hats... going to a friend’s party and getting tag teamed the entire night by a coupla good ‘ol chevturds asking me if Ford included a heated trunk option so my hands don’t get cold pushing my Ford.
Mind boggling that they sued for 15 million, is there that much pain, suffering and loss of income involved? And more to the point what if it was some poor schlub with a clapped out bike just able to afford a trackday event? Would they be entitled to the same compensation? Just seems like there is a huge punitive…
That’s actually an interesting question? A fair Mustsng and Camaro guys show up for track days and generally you don’t get to go out there solo until you’ve got some time under your belt.
Damn the one dude you really wanted to see end up dead due to a broken back because some inmates ran the train on his ass so hard his kidneys exploded out his sides.
Drifting is fine - its really an excellent way to learn about vehicle dyanmics and control and people enjoy it - not my cup of tea but I see the value in the sport but if say it involves drifting a stanced car I’ll be glad to talk about how unbelievably and monumentally stupid that shit it is all day every day.
I’m not sure about the cost to paint a Shelby green but when you add in the coolers, brakes, and suspension not to mention tires to match the GT350 it probably comes out cheaper to just paint a Shelby green .
Man they really need to rebrand “autopilot” and maybe just call it some sort of driver assistsnce rather than imply the vehicle is able to operate autonomously.
>>shrugs<< Mustang fans dig it... more to the point unless say your interested in a Mustang and the only thing the dealer has on the lot is a fleet of loaded Bullitt Mustangs why does it matter?
The actions of your fellow motorists also effect your rate. A couple states over a popular way to finance a car too expensive for your budget and avoid the inevitable hit to your credit as its repossessed is to have said car “stolen” and dumped off in the desert.
Not jumping on a Mach 1 or Terminator. Those sticker prices seemed impossibly huge back then and I made more than enough to purchase one.
Id say not too bad but it’s a price only the Fox car faithful can appreciate. Anybody else just can’t see all the fox body interchangability goodness underneath!
Plus the compression. 13:1 and 14:1 is pretty damn high for an engine that runs on 87 octane fuel.
“and a 16' gt350 (burned a quart of oil every 500 miles)“
Heh... every time I hear “country mile” it makes me think about an old customer of mine.
No need to look any further than the 90's quadfecta and the awesome RX-7, NSX, 300ZX, and Supra.
Cheaper and easier to find a 8.8 disc brake setup. Especially if the guy isn’t adverse to shortening up the rear housing and ordering a custom set of axles or just cutting down the stock axles.
Ah... the new worst selling car in the US....
Jackie Gleason was the movie! This was a coworker’s granddad’s favorite movie. Sometimes we quote (often paraphrase) lines from the movie all day long and laugh every time.
The LT is about as good as it gets without adding copious amounts of displacement (too expensive and makes meeting emissions requirements harder as the bore grows) or turning them into low grade pro-stock motors (emissions compliance and longevity).
