Well the shitheads on Talk Radio and Faux News will certainly be playing that angle. I’m sure other more conservative views around the world will as well.

The higher strung GT350 comes in around 4,000 rpm (you can feel it kick in since that is around peak torque) and then you have the rest of the tach to play with.

Is the Ecoboost running 12 flat @ 117 mph? Yeah that pig of a GT is doing that with a race weight of right around 4000 pounds (loaded GT) and by way of comparison a base 2015 GT was running 13 flat @ 114 mph . 0-60 for 2018 is 3.9 seconds and 0-60 in 2015 was 4.8 seconds

I suspect in the end what you’ll see is this being portrayed as a “uniquely” American problem like sexual assault in the Catholic church or racism.

Bonus! If Ratner goes down in flames as a result no more mediocre Ratner films!

Its a good time to be alive as we close out the age of the internal combustion engine!

Naw not even. I drove a 2.9 Whipple equipped 2009 GT500 that would consistently dyno 630 hp at the wheels on a 90 degree day and I drove it all four seasons and compared to the vette (with its advanced ABS, TCS, ESC that are at the least a generation ahead if not more) it was a Conestoga wagon and I didn’t have a

IMO its mostly pomp on the US government’s part. If the Russians think this was a little more than they wanted wait till the US cracks up. We are essentially dividing ourselves along four lines; the West Coast, New England, the South and I suppose you could call it the Heartland.

NPR just ran a good story on this interviewing some ex KGB.

Properly modified of course with some gen3 coyote love!

Ahhh... the good ol’ days when engines used to come with a closed deck on the block and the cylinders were completely water jacketed.

All smart phones have this capacity. My phone automatically goes into car mode with andriod auto as soon as it senses my car.

People are by our very nature poor judges of speed an acceleration. Your advice is sound but is generally overridden by the squishy computer locked up in the skull.

These laws mostly seem to be another tool for police to pull over suspects or if you piss a cop off. We’ve had the same law in VA and I don’t see a derth of left lane campers ever pulled over.

Hah a “Its the speed limit feel free to go slower” committee member.

A tilt rotor ride sharing service? I don’t think this will end well!

I bet in instrumented testing; 0-60, 1/4 mile, top speed and maybe skid pad the vette generates better numbers and in the “road test” regime the ZR1 will pull the same or better lap times but owing to the GT’s intended purpose it would have more endurance under those same conditions and ultimately be able to produce

Actual GT-R owner qoute “ I only race Italian exotics. Everything else is a waste of my time “.

On another note. I’ve run into a few Porscheophiles and they all tend to say “Corvettes can turn... lolz!!!!”.

So the inevitable question is how does the ZR1 stack up against the Ford GT? Well at least for the 3 laps well see MT TV run.
