I think maybe I’m using support staff incorrectly. Ha! I’ll actually be in administrative support at the front desk, so I’ll get to see all the kids. It’s a K-12 school.

I’ll be in administrative support, so front desk of the school overseeing attendance, enrollment, and many other things I’m sure will pop up.
I got a job! I posted a few months ago that I was in the middle of a job hunt after nannying for years and years. The prospect was overwhelming, but I just got an offer from a school and I am delighted! If anyone has ever worked in support staff at a school and has advice or personal anecdotes, it would be greatly…
Oh my god, seriously! We’re all so busy analyzing the girls, when really it’s the adult fucking men who need to be seriously questioned. 15 year olds are supposed to have bad judgement, that’s why it’s illegal for adults to date them. But a 24 year old? The only reason he wants to date a teenager is because he’s a…
Yeah, no. A 15 year old who “seems” older, or “acts” older is still not, in fact, older. They’re still a 15 year old without the maturity or life experience necessary to make it appropriate for a grown ass dude to be dating them. I can’t think of any situation in which it would justifiable for a 24 year old person to…
I just started the first book in the series, and it’s taking me some time to get into it. I’m only on page 31, so I need to give it some more time.
His middle name is Adonis.
Ugh, that just makes me so angry to hear. I never understand what the parents are thinking in situations like this. Did they not realize when they hired a nanny that we aren’t going to stick around until we die? And that their retaliation hurts their kids more than anyone else? I’m so sorry you didn’t get to say…
Oh, I’m sorry things aren’t going so hot for you right now. I can understand all too well the toll that takes. First of all, feel better soon about your breakup. My parents’ house was always the first place I went after that shit-and it made me feel a lot better being there.
Yes, thank you for saying that-these are good people, I think it’s just damn near impossible not to make jobs like this personal. That’s the unavoidably shitty part about caregiving- kids grow up and eventually don’t need you anymore.
That is a very interesting suggestion! I do love the adventure of it, and it’s definitely something to keep in mind! I am getting married in a few months, and we plan to start a family pretty soon-it’s hard to imagine being away from our families at this point in our lives, but I have a feeling my fiancee would be up…
I respectfully disagree that it was too much notice. While I wish it had gone a bit smoother, I still can’t imagine only giving two weeks after as long as I’ve been there. I always assumed two weeks was the minimum suggestion.
OOh, fun. I really like crafting with gold and coral colors. I went a bit crazy sprucing up my apartment last year and just spray painted a bunch of shit gold. It looks awesome.
This is amazing-I’ve already found one position that looks great, and requires 0-2 years experience. Huzzah!
This is all so much more helpful than the roughly 200 articles I’ve read on how to land a job. So thank you x 1,000,000
Good luck to your Mr! It’s such an overwhelming place to be.
That’s a great idea, thank you! I think I will just call them myself and ask about this because applying online feels fruitless.
Job-having Jezzies! I need advice/encouragement/commiseration. I’m currently on the job hunt, have been seriously for a couple of weeks, and it’s just not a fun thing to do. I gave my notice for a nanny job I’ve had for a few years (several months’ worth of notice which was a gamble but I felt it was the right thing…
?? What happened with her daughter? I always see the People blog posts she has about her family, and they always seemed sort of sweet.
I just watched this movie and I almost died from the cuteness and whimsy. I want to live Aidy Bryant’s daydreams.
