It’s honestly amazing to me that she’s bragging about her hard work going through thousands of pictures of herself for a book about herself. It’s so many layers of unbelievable vanity. Imagine the mindset of a person like that...and how it just continues on because people actually perpetuate it. I mean, 5,000 favs.

Can you get pregnant in the butt?

Thank you for such a well-thought-out response. It is indeed a mess (society, not your response).

OMG. My sister used to play that Anastasia song constantly when she was a child. Now I have it in my head!

I always think about how dresses even 50 years ago or so all had sleeves. 100 years ago for sure.

One time my cat ordered Season 1 of The Intruders on Amazon. I was so annoyed. But they gave me a refund.

Thanks for the voice of reason. I am hoping I didn’t scare too many people because I kind of figured it wasn’t a huge problem. I think my issue originally was that I had no idea it was even a thing.

Same here. I know someone who has never had a nosebleed, which is insane to me. I guess if she had one it would be from a more serious malady, whereas if you or I had one it would be more normal than if we didn’t.

We also had a dress code thing that was about “gang colors”, which was like, red and/or blue. So I’m guessing they had to also detect if there was a reason you were wearing red and/or blue. Such BS. Plus, I went to school in Rochester, MN, which is like the most conservative place ever and the idea that there even

“Universal women’s struggle” is something that also bugs me, because it really isn’t. When the Yes All Women thing was going on, I was really confused about all of it, and honestly sort of ashamed that I’d supposedly been living a charmed life where I’d never been harassed or noticed at all. But I remember I read

I think a lot of reason I’ve never seen or heard any catcalling in my life is because I live in Minnesota. I really think people are nicer here, or at least they’re more aloof/shy.

Agreed. I always feel left out when it comes to these types of stories. Not that I want to be in the group, but it sort of feels like, in a backward way, it’s more evidence that I’m undesirable. The stories that come up for me when I try to think of being noticed by guys is how, like, one guy told me I had a zit

I believe it’s any oil-type substance, but from what I gather, if you get it, it clears up if you stop using the oil. I am including a Mayo Clinic link (which is incidentally where I got my nose cauterization) and they say it’s rare. I don’t really worry about it, I guess, because of the fact that you can just stop

I’ve used Vaseline since I was a small child for chronic nosebleeds (I put it inside my nose). My dad does it too. Only recently have I learned that it can cause a weird type of pneumonia from inhaling small particles of oil-type substances. I don’t know what else to do, though. This year was the worst dry-nose year

That’s a great idea. Why have I never heard of/thought of this before?!

You could try eyeshadow primer. I have one by Too Faced that I really like, and it seems to work well. I know a lot of people swear by the Urban Decay one.

I consider myself really lucky because my body hair is blonde and basically the consistency of the “downy” hair on your face (vellus hair). I pretty much never shave, although I do once in a while because it does make the skin smooth. As far as buns, I have really thin hair, but all I do is twist it until it twists

Waring nail polish: I cannot do it. I put it on like twice a day but I immediately pick it off. I think it’s something like nail biting, which I also do. I just can’t keep the nail polish on. The other day I got a nail buffer for the first time and it made my nails shiny like they have clear polish on and it’s driving

No kidding - I had a panic attack the other day because I thought people were looking at me the way I look at myself. :-|

I’ve had issues with shoes like that. The fur gets gross when your feet are sweaty, which is often because they are warm. Maybe it would be different with socks, but then why wear them?
