I hate how in Westminster Abbey there is virtually no surface in the mausoleum areas (not the right word) that doesn't have graffiti/carvings on it. People are such jerks.

There is such thing as food-grade lye, like for making lutefisk. I looked it up once because I couldn't believe that was what was in lutefisk. Still, I don't think much or any of it remains in the fish. Plus, somehow it doesn't seem likely that they were making lutefisk from scratch at that restaurant.

That song is horrifying. I really must be out of touch with today's popular music. Especially because I call it "today's popular music".

I once had a major fit of hysterical laughter after hearing her name and thinking about it for a bit. The fit is legendary in my family now. But seriously, I wonder if her name is just like that in Arabic. Kotb and you say it kot-bee. I mean, the b isn't even how you say the b sound. The b letter is an English thing!

I've seen a few blogs about mis-written foreign language tattoos (Hebrew, various Asian languages). It's pretty funny and educational.

I was watching The Daily Show when she was on the other day, and when they started the clip, I about threw up at her accent. I could not watch the rest of the show.

I cancelled my cable a while back and returned the cable box, but couldn't find the remote (I had been using a different one). They sent me a bill for $110, which was the cost of the cable box if I didn't return it. POC.

My dad just started this job. He's the nicest person I know, but I worry the same thing will happen to him and bring him down. Hopefully it will roll off his back easily enough.

What do you watch? I often need new things to watch, but have hitherto avoided Youtube. I think I probably miss out on stuff though. Any recommendations?

It bugs me so much when there's a typo that could've been caught by the red squiggly line in this text box. And sometimes there are missing or weird words. I find myself wondering what editor they write in. It seems like a grammar/spelling check in Word would catch a lot of errors I see. Agreed on corrections.

I would love if Dirt Bag had a tagline, how Tweet Beat always says, "In today's Tweet Beat...." I often miss Dirt Bag from my RSS feed because the lead story doesn't look interesting to me, but I'd like to read the whole thing anyway. Or, if the whole story could be on RSS, how Gawker just started to do.

I really love Jezebel, and to be honest, it's changed my life. I love the articles about body positivity, especially with regard to being "overweight". This is something I didn't realize even existed before I started reading Jezebel. I really struggled, and still do struggle, with my body image, but reading articles…
