Ignoring the concept, the earlier parts of the movie borrowed almost the exact tone of the series and especially the opening scene seemed almost like a beat-for-beat recreation of the first scene in The Leftovers. And let’s not forget the timeskip.

I couldn’t decide whether I should say this, the last three episodes of season 4 of Breaking Bad, or the last three episodes of season 5 of The Sopranos. I guess the best prestige dramas tend to hit their peak towards the end of their penultimate seasons.

Idk if you’ve listened to the premium over the last few weeks but first Nick and Adam shit on The Wire and now this week The Venture Bros, their half baked awful takes on tv and film are genuinely starting to impede my enjoyment.
