The latter of which was boycotted due to it’s use of the r-word.

A movie in which race played a role in about 5 minutes worth of jokes and the n-word was never used. Most of the rest of the jokes were based around obscenity and censorship, but even they avoided that particular word.

The key word is “personally”, and it’s not like he’s out making comedies about the Trail of Tears or slave ships.

They are, but only because they built up enough cache to do so, and even then they only get away with it every once in awhile. Also, comparing what you can get away with on cable or streaming with what a major studio would allow to get made is apples and oranges. There is no way that Warner Bros. would risk making a

One warning: if you were followed by any of the other sites, you’ll have to email them and ask for a re-follow. I’ve heard of mixed results with this. It took them a few days, but I got out of the greys again on Kotaku and Gizmodo. Others haven’t been as lucky.

You realize you’re talking about a guy who created a whole film based around a fake musical called “Springtime for Hitler”, right?

But keep in mind that, back in the early days, South Park wasn’t even allowed to air before 9 pm, and the guys have said that they used to constantly have fights with the censors at Comedy Central over what they could do, including use of the n-word, even in a satirical way. It took them over ten years to build up

Different animals though. You can get away with a lot on Adult Swim and Netflix. If he tried to sell this to a mainstream studio, it would get absolutely hacked apart.

I’m not sure Brooks would want to make this movie today. Between constant re-writes and a likely insistence that Kevin Hart plays the Sheriff, he’d probably retire from filmmaking.

That statement invalidated the entire rest of the column.

You obviously haven’t seen a receiver act like he got shot by a sniper going over the middle or flopping at the lightest contact after the play to draw a flag.

Since Kinja refused to put the picture in the first five times I tried:

I still say the worst is the “Fake News” costume. Not only is it tough to tell what it is, but the “Fake” is in a somewhat awkward spot that will likely force the wearer to answer some questions:

Schur’s shows are at their best when there’s counterbalance to his main characters, be it reality or a Swanson-esque supporting character. To me, some of the best episodes of P&R was when Leslie would rush into something with her good intentions overriding her common sense, only to have Ron or reality throw cold water

It’s been nine months, enough time to conceive and give birth to a child. At this point, it’s your own fault for not watching the show yet, and for not reading the disclaimer and thinking “Hmmm...maybe it will contain plot details I’d rather discover on my own.”

Indianapolis is a shockingly great town. I used to go there once a year for work and always looked forward to it.

Given how little time I can actually game these days, I am both rolling my eyes at spending that much time on this and extremely jealous that someone actually had the time to do it.

I’m not sure I’d consider him an “A-list headliner”. Aside from Independence Day (where I’d argue he took a backseat to Will Smith), the only one he really headlined was Lake Placid. But he was a supporting actor in a bunch of other ones, including Brokedown Palace. He just kept showing up in the trailers!

This brings me back to the “Summer of Pullman”, when he seemed to be in every movie.

I’d argue Into Darkness was way worse than Force Awakens. At least the fan service in Force Awakens was subtle!
