Mid 40s here, 2 kids. Started playing MOBAs. They give me 30 mins to get in & get out... It’s a time thing. LoL, HOtS, Infinity Crisis, Smite, they are short & exciting. My usual fare - MMOs & Civ games, they’re just time sinks now.

Been at my new job for 7 months. Wish I'd seen this earlier... was threatened by one employee after I went to HR to report her after she used my credit card without asking. Said employee was friends with one of the presidents, so I got reprimanded. Then, another employee - one who'd gotten a demotion when I came on…
I pretty much only play Vulcan... mostly because I suck at the others. I am glad there aren't any major changes to him, but sad that I don't get a new skin - the ones he has now I'm not a fan of.
Thank you!
I left WoW years ago - I was in beta, then they dumbed it down a little to make it more accessible (and boy, did that work!) and I played for a while live. I kept going back, but it's still a time sink - still have to level my character to X level before I can really get into the sorts of matches you're talking about,…
I very rarely have repeat drops, but maybe that's just my playtimes. I'm absolutely horrible at FPS (not twitchy enough) & RTS (I like to research/build everything - love Civ type, and -though I like it - I'm bad at Starcraft type) and I'm not a fan of sports oriented games. World of Tanks I can do, but that's kinda…
I've never had more than a 2 minute wait in LoL or Smite; DOTA2 I've had up to 5. Which other types of multiplayer games are you talking about? There's a wide swath.
It's not super short - I agree, but at least it's fun-jump-into-the-action if I don't have time to do a full raid or pick 10,000 flowers for my potion or kill 237 Fiddygrumpuses to have the Gem of Obliviram drop. By "quick" I mean easy to learn, easy to jump into & most matches are less than an hour in 3 out of the 4…
I've never been in a match in LoL or smite that's lasted longer than 45 min. Are raids shorter now?
Quick action, short matches & rapid turnover - at least that's what it is for me. You don't have to spend hours learning to jump in & play (unless DOTA2); if you have 10-60 minutes to kill, you can have some high-action fun. It's cotton candy, not a full seven course DA:I meal.
Wasn't Booster sorta rebooted a few years back where he had to go around and fix timellines? He became an A List type hero, but no one knew who he was because of, well, timey-wimey stuff? Argh, my 40 year old brain.
I totally misread the headline and thought they were apologizing for giving out the free DLCs. I was opening the article expecting to read about how they would disable those DLCs on the user's accounts until some dough was coughed up.
So very pissed.
I met the man a few times, brief encounters all - but memorable.
Met her dad 3 times. Left an impression; this whole thing breaks my heart & makes me feel for her.
He was a great goddamned man.
My 7 year old has been taking karate for 2 years - sparring type. She'll start muay thai when she's 11. My wife, who has been taking martial arts on and off for 25 years, says: "Teach your daughter to be able to kick the fucking shit out of anyone & she might have a little less to worry about. Not much, but a little"
Sleepy Hollow, not Hallow :)
