The manufacturer’s name was Sunbeam-Talbot Ltd even if most of the cars were just called Sunbeams. So in a way it’s correct.
The Hillman Imp was specifically designed to accommodate 6' plus persons. As evidenced by Bullitt they are also perfect for parking on San Francisco streets.
Hansa was a standalone brand from a company bought out by Borgward. Towards the end of the Borgward group it had become more like a sub-brand to Borgward.
I would have to go with that largely forgotten GM brand, Ranger.

My father bought his Sunbeam Rapier in 1961 as part of Sunbeam’s export delivery programme. He drove it all over the UK before having it delivered home to Australia. Before going on the ship to Australia the factory changed the specification from UK to Australian spec.

An Australian here - you’re making the mistake of thinking the entire continent speaks the same way. Just like in Britain terminology varies with regional dialect. I expect the same thing happens in the USA.

I’ll second the idea of a new Hillman Imp and put a new Sunbeam Tiger on the wishlist too.
I suspect they would also wind up with the largest back catalogue of defunct brands of all the auto groups - with dead brands from Chrysler Corp, AMC, the Rootes Group plus assorted French and Italian ones.
It wasn’t a Simca though. The Sunbeam Lotus was made in Scotland by the former Rootes Group. It was all Hillman Avenger underneath.
