guys, guys, guys.... you need to read up on your Talbot Sunbeam Lotus. It was a completely different car to the Horizon altogether.

Guys, guys, guys.... The Talbot Sunbeam Lotus and the Horizon/Omni are completely different animals. The British Talbot Sunbeam was a rear wheel drive Hillman Avenger reclothed in new bodywork to give it a French Talbot Simca family resemblance.

Humber for sure. Much classier and it shares its engine with the Sunbeam rally cars of Messrs Moss, Hawthorn, Collins, et al.

Daimler - Note to Jaguar: if you can't afford to give us a real Daimler, then don't give us one at all.

@rognbrow: Audi certainly did exist as a nameplate in the 30s. It disappeared at the end of that decade as a result of Herr Hitler's shenanigans and wasn't revived again until many years later. Unless the pre-war Audi company is counted as a different enterprise to the post-war incarnation, Audi has built FR cars.

As the previous owner of a Hillman Hunter I'd love to be able to nominate the Sceptre, but even I've got to admit I'd rather have the Scimitar.
