Woah, never heard of something like that before - certainly not as long ago as the Genesis, at least. Wikipedia says it had 250,000 subscribers at some point, pretty incredible. Interesting parallel to this new service. Were the games specially developed, or was it the proper Sega library? How long did the games take

I'm not in any way a Linkin Park apologist, but I thought Mike Shinoda's soundtrack to The Raid was pretty good actually, lots of sinister bass, not too much Linkin Park-sound. Haven't see it with the original, though, my DVD played Shinoda's automatically. (How fucking awesome was that film by the way?!)

Irish, criminal - let's not split hairs.

Uh, I would also like to express my fondness… for that particular name for french toast.

Yes, 'marmelade' is gay sex-code for something so foul and, if performed correctly, foul-mouthed, that it does not bear repeating on a family thread.

It is an outstanding read: "Grimsby does not have town walls. It was too small and was protected by the marshy land around it. However, the town did have a ditch."

Well, I thought these were really good! Funny, imaginative, neatly-made - little on the nose occasionally, but then they're the length of a music video, whaddaya want?!

Very astute analysis. I almost thought the scenes with Brad Pitt were the weakest in the film, partially for the reasons you describe, but you put it in words better than I could've articulated it; I might have said his character is almost a white subversion of the Magical Negro, but the way the power relationships

Exactly, very shrewdly analyzed.

Ah yes, the fine pizza-making tradition of the English East Midlands!

Great little review, thank you - especially the bit at the end about the disorientating effect of Too Much Information, I can strongly sympathize with that feeling, and it smacks of poor play-testing. As do many of the more mundane problems you describe, especially the physics. It's rather a negative overall picture

Really interesting point you're making, especially on the benefit of the doubt given to smaller indie games - you do indeed frequently see little online flash games being described as making some great comment on loss, or love, or whatever, when they are really just as simplistic as the AAA games, and merely have the

"Ah man, this sucks, I just had to buy a brand-new Audi with leather seats and alloy wheels!"
"Shit, I'm sorry to hear that bro, I know your pain - I myself was recently diagnosed with owning a Lexus."

I'll coelacanth your 'whale' pun, and rays you a megalodon.

Never not gonna like the old 'Yes.'-answer-to-an-'a)-or-b)?'-question gag!

I think it's just very subtle spam for a gay porn site. But whatever you do, don't google 'beachdicks' at work…

See-through, eh? Those saucy Israelis!

"What about this potato? It's pretty big!" Man, I love when Marge earnestly tries to interest the kids in lame stuff, that's such an important facet of her character as a mother.

Give him ten grand.

More a whimsical monologue than a rant, surely?
