Double turn lanes. I drive through one set on the way to work and one set coming home. Despite the dotted line painted on the pavement, people cannot successfully navigate these without drifting out of their lane. Usually, they start in one lane and switch to the other, more convenient lane, by the end of the turn,

Interesting. I assumed that, like the rest of my car, it was another example of the Germans just doing things differently than the Japanese.

After years of only having Japanese cars, I was surprised to discover that my GTI’s cruise (not adaptive) remains on unless I cancel it or brake, regardless of how many times I shift.

I think that’s the answer to the question above about the affordability of fine art. Cheaper cars, cheaper art.

A Nissan Z? Didn’t see that coming.

Sadly, for me, they’re not related. The NSX was a C series engine and the Odysseys are J series. 90 degrees versus 60 degrees.

How were they before the buyout? I’ve pondered taking my GTI to their VW dealership because it’d be a lot more convenient, but I’ve hesitated because Kempthorn in Canton is pretty good to work with.

I did a bunch of hard stops at night to see if I could see my rotors glowing. Just ever so slightly red.

Beat me to it.

Better than Mega Blox? Please.

I understood that reference.

Glad someone else was bothered by that. They even said Gregg Williams’ name.

They don’t show it in the video, but you’d see truck after truck trundling between the two factories with trailers that looked like scaffolding full of six or eight half-finished car bodies. I always thought it was cool, but in retrospect that had to be the most inefficient production system in the modern world.

Always make sure to go to Hungry Head when I’m visiting Mom. I think it’s only on 75th now.

The Brat Stop was (still is?) a place. Back in the day kids from Illinois would literally kill themselves driving back home drunk.

didn’t appreciate it at the time, but it wasn’t a bad place to grow up. Most of the Iaccoca related stuff went down when I was in high school.

Yeah, but free cargo tray!

This is the coolest version. Or is this a Spirit? Anyway, the guy two doors down from me had one when I was a kid. Of course, he worked on the assembly line building the damn things.

I wonder if they added the second sign on the top, which put things over the design limits.

Stars for every person involved in this thread. I’m more of a Vandervere man myself.
