One of the Porsche drivers had the same problem I have - you drive Japanese cars for years, then suddenly you get a German car and the wiper stalk works the opposite of what you’ve been doing your whole life.

OK, so since you asked, do you hear wind rushing around the mirror too, or does mine just have a minor air leak somewhere? I think the problem is that I’ve never had a car quiet enough to actually hear wind noise.
“Mr. Jones? This is Bill down at Smith Honda. Yeah, it turns out there’s going to be a longer delay in getting the new airbag for your Civic.”
The number of people complaining about the hyperbole is interesting.
I somehow feel vindicated.
My entire job is helping corporations (including a couple of car companies) comply with governmental regulations. It’s a job creator!
Indeed - I compared getting a new GTI against a used 2013 TSX (stick). Frankly, they’re equally nice inside, although if you like wood in your interior the TSX would win.
Isn’t the answer to #3 always Miata?
It’s like autocrossing my 200SX SE-R - one front wheel off the ground, rear beam axle articulating to stay firmly stuck to the pavement, ensuring massive understeer.
In the late 90s when I was autocrossing, it was the VW guys who seemed to think their MKIV GTIs were annointed by God himself and were convince my SE-R was about to spontaneously rust into oblivion. Not sure if they’re still like that (I don’t hang out with them), but the brief interactions I see in these forums make…
Fairly reachable by snow, salt, slush, rain, and dust as well.
With an SR20DE? Swoon!
Nothing about not using your clutch to keep from rolling backwards on a hill in your manual transmission car? Drives me nuts every time I see it. Which, of course, is almost never these days . . .
Except third gear in the manuals would get crunchy.
Same here. It’s even the same font they use for Civics.
Beat me to it.
If I recall correctly, GM dropped the drivetrain from an Odyssey into the Saturn VUE Redline. I think Honda got diesel engines in return, although I have no idea what they did with them.
That’s nothing, we had one salesman sell a Ram 1500 and 2500!
