They have sold enough tablets to drive consumer demand for top of the line apps for a long time now. Android phone apps are just fine, but tablets still need a lot of work which I just don't see improving, at least not for a long time now.

I believe I clearly said Android apps for TABLETS are lacking, not Android in general.

Why do you look at only mainstream apps? Any one with half a brain can tell that these apps will be updated regularly for both phone and tablet. Or games like Angry birds, Jetpack joyride, Asphalt, cup the rope, fruit ninja etc will be updated for all devices as well.

Again, you are looking at only mainstream apps. Those obviously do not count as they will obviously will be updated. I am well aware of Apps like Angry Birds, Asphalt, Cut the rope, Jetpack joyride, etc.

No. Apple took out the original youtube app which came with every iOS device. But they updated it on their App store, and Apple doesn't have control of that.

Yeah except has that really happened? No. Which is a very good idea of what I told you about before. The whole point I was trying to make is that even they are aware of the lacking tablet app market, and are trying to tell devs to make better tablet optimized applications. The android tablet market as been in the same

Don't get me wrong, there are many non main stream apps available for Android as well. But you have to remember, most of the best applications out there have been ported from iOS TO Android.

A couple of things you missed.

If you were smart, then you would know there are many ways of getting a smart phone without a data plan. I sure did with my Unlocked Galaxy Nexus. Magic?

Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about. How about you do a simple search before spewing bs. Maybe then you will see what I am talking about.

It doesn't matter. Even then, Windows 8 requires tablet like applications to run, as that is what Windows 8 is based entirely on. It is a cross mix of mobile applications like iOS and Android.

What...? Expecting people to buy the iPhone in large quantities doesn't automatically mean it's more powerful. It's more powerful by benchmarks which it earned.

What if I told you I don't have a data plan, and I am usually surrounded by wifi? What if I also told you that wifi speeds aren't always the best on campus, but my house it's just fine?

Mobile web traffic is what I meant. Thought that was obvious under the circumstances.

Yes, mobile web traffic. I searched and confirmed this. Most mobile web traffic is indeed from iOS devices. Recently, iPhone 5 web traffic surpassed that of the Galaxy S3. Which is quite impressive.

No shit sherlock. But stretching a phone app to tablet resolutions doesn't give you the same quality nor does it properly utilize the screen space provided on a tablet. Therefore, shitty use of space, and quality of the overall app. Just try to compare a non mainstream app on a android and iOS tablet and see the

First off I don't even have a data plan, nor will I be getting one in a long time as I am surrounded by wifi. Even so, not all the locations where wifi is available to me is fast. Therefore, having to load music/movies from those places is unthinkable due to slow speeds. At most, I am able to do simple

First off, mainstream apps are the ones that are ported. Angry Birds, Modern Combat, Asphalt, Jetpack joyride, Fruit Ninja, Cut the rope, etc.

Is that a joke? No really, is it? Because that was incredibly stupid. In the android ecosystem, apps don't just change instantly. New apps are often introduced but previous apps are not always updated to the next "big thing." In general, most developers don't even want tablet optimize their phone apps. Hell,

If it was in that case, iOS does keep buffering aka, youtube/netflix.
