I personally call it the edit-button-timebomb. Basically, you have a set amount of time to edit before the mighty Gawker overlords declare that what you said must be set in stone (metaphorically speaking) for all the world to see. I hate it.

I know that feel. I mean, subs are fine, but the dubs (especially the better ones) make it better, IMHO.

I'd say it makes for an interesting story gimmick. The kid mourns the loss of his mother, yet the tears he sheds in his loss brings to life a friend. It's a bit disheartening to shift the mood so quickly, but I reckon it'll be better in the game than how it was presented in the trailer.
