It almost has to be car dealers.  They see everything as a threat to their monopoly.  One of them probably has a neighbor with a tiny truck and they now assume every house in the state has one.  

If they’re citing safety concerns as the reasoning behind banning these vehicles then they better start revoking all antique vehicle registrations on the same grounds. Who is behind this? Its not like this is eating into new car sales or anything. As far as safety is concerned, there are bigger fish to fry than a niche community.
