How does this compare to a Miata? Which is better in your opinion?

I just bought a 2000 540i Wagon last year in LA too. It’s been great. It had low miles and was in good condition. I just wish it were manual.

Was anyone surprised?

I once got stuck with a Chevy Aveo.

It’s currently just under $25k. If I had that kind of money and space for a project, I would totally jump on it. I would never stress over its resale value either.

Step 1: Remove the engine from your car.

CA just makes you get an inspection by a DMV employee and a smog test. Then you take all your paperwork and pay registration and some other fees. I just did it last year because my girlfriend had to have a brand new lexus. So, we got a good price from Texas.

I’ve been unsuccessfully trying to get “mister” to catch on as the male equivalent.

I didn’t see this until today and missed it. :(

It’s a mix of the Costco gas station lines and CA regular gas station prices.
