I gave you a star, but then took it away. The vessel does not defy gravity in any way whatsoever. It works fully within the bounds of gravity, just as a ship floating on the water does.

Fair enough and to each their own--I love it. It’s not particularly subtle, but I like both the contrast it has with more subtle allusions in the show and how it complements the comic tone.

Exactly this. Proper engineering of the product, proper engineering of the manufacturing infrastructure, proper management of the whole system, proper management and relationship with the workers (non-adversarial). None of those have been strong suits for GM.
