Someone should tell the Daytona International Speedway that the race lasts 24 HOURS. Last I went (no motorhome, no tent), everything closed by 11pm. Even the Patron Tequila Bar! What tequila bar closes at 11pm? To add insult to injury, the Hooters across the street was closed too. Guest services finally has sympathy…

People focus on federal workers but there’s probably an equal number, or more, of contractors that aren’t getting any back pay. Not to mention day-to-day businesses that support federal and contract workers that were shorted of business during the shut down. They’re just SOL.
