All of these are completely valid complaints, and I would say that if you expect you’re going to be playing mostly online with randoms (or even friends, the lag is pretty bad sometimes) then this might be one you want to skip. It’s a shame that a bunch of obvious design mistakes pull this down so much.

THAT BEING SAID,

Hasn’t Zelda Classic been around for years and years? Great tool.

I honestly don’t see how. Why wouldn’t classic animation style work with modern animation technology? There is no “classic filter”; it’s all in the aesthetic. They just have actual shades and greater levels of detail, now, and I’d say that it looks absolutely terrific.

Just because some nerd making a shitty 8-bit platforming game “promises” stuff doesnt make it so, as we have seen from this and many other examples. Answer this...why hasnt anyone been held accountable for taking off with the cash?

No, it’s NOT just a platform: “Kickstarter makes money by taking 5% of the total amount of money that is funded on the site. It uses this money to turn a profit that pays for the costs of running the site, including advertisement and employee payment...Kickstarter collects the payments entered by the backers through

Thanks for saying so. And to be fair, I’m not advocating that KS should be liable, even. I’m just surprised there’s no impetus to make their service more trustworthy or to provide backers with some protections. This seems like common-sense stuff. Why is no one demanding it?

The lack of critical thinking in the replies to your post is staggering. Lots of people supporting the status quo, assuming that things cannot be changed or failing to realize that just because something is a certain way that doesn’t mean it’s the best way or the right way.

They do now, but when this occurred they did not. The current protection is not retro active so old projects do not fall under this.

You have to think of it as less like a Ridge Racer and more like a Tony Hawk: not really so much about finishing quickly as it is about getting maximum style points out of the time you spend.

It should be noted that many find they enjoy the game less when they attempt speed runs.

Just use Hamachi or Tuungle, newb!

Give it time. At least you can find people streaming all the time. Never see it on Twitch, though, for some reason...

Single player is more fast paced gameplay imo. Couch co-op requires a lot of coordination. If you didn’t get Marriage DLC of course, it’s like the whole other game, I heard it’s like hardcore rouge-like.

Aye. The beauty of differing opinions!

exactly. I’m sure they wont make nearly as many mistakes with the remake.

I die inside knowing that he is getting paid by Youtube using a cheat program that he had no contribution in making.

Dual Destinies was the perfect example, but then again, PLvPWAA was the example of how well it could be done (I think). Nick and Maya weren’t cheesy... they were just kind of amateur but it had a kind of charm to it.

This isn't even an article about homosexuality. It's an article about relationships, and the one homosexual who wrote in is experiencing a problem that could affect anyone regardless of their sexual orientation. If the mere existence of gays disgusts you I feel sorry for you, but there's no reason Kotaku should

Wow, I was expecting some actual analysis of the game, some reasons to back up why the game mechanics, level design, art direction, or story for Earthbound wasn't so good...but nope I got another "I didn't like it, so it's not that good" opinion posts. It's so easy to have an opinion that a popular game doesn't
