It is weird, but I think largely because it shows that there was a bit of a resolution to his story that we never saw. He seemed to make peace with the demons that put kind of a rift between him and others, and it seems like that worked and mended some bridges; while I don’t know if I entirely bought most of those

You never had to talk about him in the first place. You’re a pop culture website, nobody was coming here to hear about all the shit Trump did, especially since they could read about that on actual news websites. You could have been a refuge from the crap, instead you fed right into it.

- Did your parents film your birth?
- No, but we got some great footage of the conception.

Ah, but you forget the one clear telegraph.

You’re kidding!?! I love that movie and never knew that anyone was considered for the roles other than Caine & Connery. The first time I saw it, I just happened to catch it on TV and when my father saw what I was watching, he just quietly sat down in his chair and joined me (& he was not a man who did many things

Saying he “ghostwrote” the song doesn’t seem accurate. He changed some chords on his solo. If he actually wrote Beat It he definitely would have claimed credit for it, since that songwriting credit alone that would have made him an incredible amount of money.

Ghost wrote is a bit of a stretch. By the sounds of things he apparently asked Quincy Jones, who arranged all the music, to rearrange the chords on the part he soloed on. He also did not play the guitar riff as this article suggests, that was Paul Jackson.

Now playing

George Clooney has played a lot of shady or ambiguous characters, so even if he’s another target, he carries less weight than Hanks, who has almost always played nice guys in his career.

This was a hilarious show, Amazon is selling it now (it was very hard to get as the “network” it was on went under or something.  It was too good for Seeso!  Probably, I’ve never heard of or seen anything else by them.

NYBY Station”?

The real reason they fired him is because he wouldn’t stop eating their cats

It’s always struck me as rather creepy, how people have felt free to gossip about Robert Wagner for 40 years on basically no evidence. Wood and Wagner had been arguing. The night before, after they’d been fighting, she had the boat captain take her into town.

I would argue that it’s somewhere between your two scenarios: a guy with a kink, which some people in his circle may have supported, but who most definitely used his power and influence to subject said kink on several women who did not consent to it.

“I think that lately, the tone of the Newswire has been a mish-mash of snark and then earnest outraged concern that only highlights the contributors’ own biases.”

The fundamental issue is that this site doesn’t generate enough revenue to pay skilled writers with nuanced perspectives.

If I may. Because in the context of the history of Nazi hunters which did exist throughout the world which this show does address, (using on ocasion real life names we know) creating a ludicrous, cartoonish idea of genocide that never happened could fuel those willing to make the leap to stake the claim “that if chess

Have to say, the tone of this article seems weirdly condescending and neutral towards the Auschwitz Memorial about what seems to be a quite valid criticism and concern they’ve raised. I’m not normally one to get in an uproar about the fictionalising of history in what is clearly a work of fiction, and I’m not gonna

Yeah, I work in the broad field of ‘memorial policies’ (ie., how to talk about this kind of stuff) and that type of thing is harmful. You don’t need to make shit up to make the Nazis look like evil people. Like, if you decide that you need to come with worse things than Auschwitz, the subtext is that you don’t think

JJ Abrams has such a huge level of respect for the original trilogy that he didn’t want to risk outshining those movies by making ones of his own that worked narratively.
