He once invited a rival to a church to parley, and then murdered him there.

True, but don’t forget Anthony Frewin, Margaret Adams or Andros Epaminondas. Even if they didn’t last quite as long as Leon or Emilio.

The Burning Secret has been filmed several times, as far back as a silent 1923 film made 10 years after it was first published. In all honesty, Stefan Zweig is an interesting author that I’m definitely gonna need to look up. Fascinating life for sure.

As a box office nerd, 2000 is a really interesting one to me in terms of Grinch being #1 for the year for several reasons:

Yes, and “Lori” pronunciation must alternate between two and three syllables.

In the wake of Rick’s death, they established a new holiday: The Grimes Times. For one month every year, we decorate our homes with dried coral, wear festive cowboy hats and hospital gowns, and play Russian roulette with ceremonial wooden revolvers. We do this to honor the founder of Grimetown.”

The could call it...CBS?

“You can’t just go to hell and get her back because uh... because I did a spell. Yeah like a soul... uh, soul hiding spell. And uh only I can break it. So yeah.”

Possible explanations:
(a) It’s Foggy’s superpower. And it is mindblowing.
(b) For the show’s intended audience, you can show people getting decapitated or shot though the throat in full technicolour, but when it comes to men and women the Hays Code is in effect.
I’d prefer (a) but smart money’s on (b).

Karen’s hoodie outfit looked like she was dressed for a community theater production of Rent.

You can’t take a shit in Charming without murdering sixteen people.  It’s just that kind of place.

The sheer volume of stunt casting on that show still staggers the imagination. Pretty much every secondary cast member from Deadwood, Stephen King, Joel McHale, Marilyn Manson, Jimmy Smits, Donal Logue...the list goes on and on.

I loved the parallels between Ray Nadeem and Jack Murdock - from talking to his kid on the exact same phone Jack talked to Matt, to the fact that they both tried to do the right thing, make their sons proud, and ended up killed as a result. Not surprised Matt is pissed - he basically relived his father’s death after

That’s the only way our Needledick in Chief can get any kind of friction.

...and loving it!

I feel like, “I’ve got a lair for that white worm of yours” might have worked better but you got here first so fair’s fair.

Look, whatever fans want to read into the show is their own business, but there’s absolutely nothing in the text of the show, or any intention on our parts, to imply a romantic relationship between these characters,” said the man whose script specified that Renfield would stare at the space from which Dracula had

I pretty entirely think people are missing the thing the show is trying to say, especially in the context of the last episode. Gonna try and explain my perspective.

Ugh. B- feels pretty generous. Watched the first one and was decidedly unimpressed and uncomfortable. I didn’t think Greg and Hajar had any chemistry or sexual tension at all - to the point where I was unsure whether their hookup was supposed to seem passionate or rapey. I got much more of a manipulation/assault vibe

The Romanoffs?
