I just hope that future films set in the Anton Chekhov Cinematic Universe (ACCU) are more faithful to the source material.

You don’t need to see the other two to follow the (nonsensical) plot, but they are a must if you want to feel underwhelmed.

Now at last Bryan Fuller is free to turn his attention to the show-running project he was born for: Fuller House.

A word to the wise: You’re missing out on Happy!.

Passion of the Christ II: The Legend of Iscariot’s Silver

I’m not defending child pornography and the people who us it. That’s indefensible.

I don’t really disagree with any of Zack’s observations, but I don’t know, it’s still mostly working for me. But I absolutely agree that the show needs to settle down and decide what and who it’s about.

Phew, I thought I was in the Mirror Universe it something. Hail the Terran Empire.

I can’t say I ever expected to see him genital-less and preparing to enter Chris Meloni while “Mars - The Bringer Of War” blares in the background, but wow is Patrick Fischler great in this.

“It’s not your mother’s AV Club!!”

No mention of Counterpart? Are we not getting even a simple season review?  It’s on WTF Starz, LOL.

Shit. I just wrote a lengthy reply above about my favorite sketches where he really shined as an actor and forgot about this one. It’s so fucking good.

When he bites into that goddamn banana...

Righteous!

While I had yet to watch JCVJ it was very high up on my “To Watch” list, and even though I have yet to check it out, I loved that a show with such a ridiculous premise existed. We don’t have enough weirdo high-concept shows these days, and the television landscape was better for having a show with as bizarre a premise

JCVJ was definitely weird, but in a totally delightful way, and the production value was outstanding. I actually felt pretty similarly about The Tick, so it’s kind of weird that one gets renewed before its first season is even finished, and the other gets shit-canned less than a month out of the gate.

Isn’t the problem he keeps touching himself though?

Very disappointing about JCVJ. I reeaaaaaallly liked it.

No we have not, AAron.

I mean, it’s not the only film that had a protagonist from an already established work that become a jaded old man only to be given renewed hope by a female student and sacrifice himself for the next generation that came out in 2017.
