The best time to hit up second hand stores is move out time at the beginning of the summer in college towns. People are getting rid of perfectly good things just because they don't have room to haul it around. Also most colleges have a "stuff for sale" board that usually has pretty good deals on stuff.

This is why I have a problem with the "latte method" of saving money. Yeah one saves $2 a day on coffee, but then one makes up for it by breaking down and spending $900 on a TV they don't need.

One of the things we do here at work to create a more secure password is to make the user make up a sentence, then the first letter of each word in the sentence makes up the password.

@Faintdreams: That's my wife. She makes us sit though the ending credits just to see what typefaces they use. When we saw Avatar before she could catch herself she blurted out Papyrus?! then looked embarrassed when the people around us turned to look at who was yelling.
