Wouldn’t this completely destroy high powered car sales? If the car can’t even go fast, then what’s the point of high horsepower, performance suspension etc? Why would you buy a Ferrari if you can only drive at the speed limit?

Who says they’d be lazy and just slap some batteries in the free space of the ICE version? Wouldn’t it make more sense to develop a skateboard design and have the batteries in the floor?
Honda let other automakers be the early adopters that helped promote EVs while taking massive financial losses. Now Honda can come in Apple style and claim to have improved on everyone else’s ideas with their new models.
The problem is that YOU know you’ve committed a crime. Now you also know that if you can make it into your home, the cop can’t discover the crime he was about to find out about. Think of how this might pertain to all the traffic stops for broken taillights. That’s a primary way cops sniff out the real crimes,…
Compare a 2002 Acura RSX to a 2020 Honda Civic Si coupe. Very similar size, similar horsepower, similar price (despite the 18 year gap!), yet the Honda has more safety, more tech, better economy etc. So yeah, cars are getting better
My current 2017 Chevy Cruze. This car has run like crap the entire time I’ve owned it, threatening to die on a daily basis. But guess what, 150k later, it is still going somehow
Even if you want to do an asset test, that limit is crazy low for a car. Especially these days. How about cross referencing luxury car registration addresses with SNAP and section 8 addresses. I am sure that would be way more illuminating than going after $8k cars owned by poor people.
Love it! “I’m going back to college and need a $23,000 car.”
So now we can 3D print whatever we want to block the center seat instead of just whatever junk Ford wants us to block the seat with
You know the $20k model is going straight to the business customers. But Ford will happily sell you the $23k XLT Hybrid, which is still dirt cheap
Totally agree. The range is unacceptable, and the suicide doors have been rejected by consumers on numerous other vehicles, so why try them again?!
The point is is that you have to do something while your EV charges, so you will be looking for some place to chill. Some sort of lounge or restaurant that is a comfortable place is needed, unless you just plan to sit in your car the whole time.
It was white men who voted to give blacks the vote
The 2017 Chevy Cruze is SUPPOSED to run on 87, but my particular example seems to require premium. Low end power is simply non-existent below 3000rpms on regular gas to the point of being dangerous. It’s ridiculous that I have to put super in an economy car, but it is what it is.
I grew up in the 80's, and somehow never knew this was a thing.
Ok, so why can’t anybody at Waymo remotely stop this car?! That customer service person should’ve been able to make the car stop and wait.
Is it me or is this working because people are willingly getting the short end of these trades just to be part of the process?
Perhaps it was Barry Silbert, a big name crypto investor, coming out and saying he was going to short dogecoin earlier Saturday, not Musk on SNL.
So apparently Autopilot misuses to b e its own specific driving infraction? Isn’t it reckless driving already?
Many “internet sales” people are not actually car salespeople, but appointment getters whose job it is is to get you in the door, nothing more. They get their $25 per appointment and then let the sales people work their schemes
