Let’s face it. Most of the money that is made in commerce is made from an imbalance of information about costs and/or value. I don’t think that we are morally right when we intentional snooker people, but if someone is selling something for under it’s true value, I see nothing wrong with buying it.

The real waste is by the companies that have no access to the cars themselves. They are either hoping to sell their tech, or they will need a whole separate investment track to begin producing cars. What are Google and Apple going to do with their autonomous tech? Every automaker already has their own program. Uber

The manufacturers would have similar overhead because there will still be the need for a repair shop and a place for people to come test drive the cars etc.

Like I said, the manufacturer creates a national ad. It would be impossible for them to include market specific information for each and every different market.

Unfortunately there is no other way for a manufacturer to run a nation lease ad. The added costs of taxes, registration, dealer fees etc vary too much from state to state.

I’m taking about price competition within the brand. If the manufacturer controls the distribution, it can set the price for it’s products. At least with the dealer model you are price shopping for a number below the manufacturer’s best incentive offer. Without the dealer competition, you’d just get whatever price the

On the contrary. Banks definitely loan to credit challenged customers at much higher than 10% rates. In CT the rates are capped at 18%, so the banks charge loan origination fees than can run $3-4,000 on top of the 18% rates, but the people get approved. Other states have even higher interest caps on auto loans. You

That’s what I was thinking! Too quiet, at least in this video

That’s a typical interest rate for a credit challenged customer.

Direct sales model: so you want the manufacturer to have no price competition for its models so they can just charge MSRP? Oh, ok. That’ll fix things.

Much is made of Hollywood white washing fictional source material (Ghost in the Machine as a recent example), yet you seem to be advocating “brown washing” a true story?!

I don’t know what you are talking about. Pallets are always wrapped securely and properly loaded on the trucks. Nothing ever falls over LOL

I think the voters did crack the code, but the 2 party monopoly is so strong, a viable 3rd party hasn’t emerged yet. So voters did as best they could, electing Trump. A very imperfect solution to be sure.

ALWAYS ALWAYS get a copy of the handwritten purchase order that you sign.

Was there $4000 of negative equity on the Corolla by any chance? That’s how the dealership is going to write up the paperwork in many negative equity situations - jack up the selling price, then jack up the trade allowance so on paper it doesn’t look like you are rolling negative equity into the new deal. Sounds dumb,

So Buick is offering you a German designed and built AWD Regal TourX wagon with a turbo motor for $30k, or you can get the Chinese designed and built FWD non turbo Envision crossover for $35k.

Having the rental car companies service autonomous car fleets is a smart idea, but does not remove the one thing that makes Uber and Lyft work so well - the wide distribution of cars and drivers so that your ride is only minutes away. It’s great to have a place to service these cars, but are they really going to have

Biff has got it right. Performance cars today have such high horsepower they scare people. But they don’t want to look like a wimp for buying the lower power model, so they get the big motor and then don’t know what to do with it.

Ok, now what about meme? Is it Me Me, or meem like seem?

So it’s ok to run around in black face again, you know, if you really mean it??
