I’ve never understood why every automaker except Tesla has produced only compact, cheap electric cars, as if trying to appeal to regular people. Tesla is finding out the hard was that there are only so many responsible, intelligent people to buy your products. After that, there are just a bunch of idiots that don’t read the manual, misuse the product, then cry when things go wrong. These people are why we can’t use toasters in the bathtub.

I agree with your sentiment on the navi, but most luxury buyers - especially those buying new, are going to want it.

The $30k number is an illusion. Do you really want one of the stripped base models with vinyl seats and no navi?
