i thought, by placing that call just prior to being cuffed and requesting "the package be ready" (or something to that effect), he made sure his bosses at "dispatch" were going to be ready for a slew of calls

How are we not all talking about the major reveal that Baelish is actually the primary instigator of the Stark/Lannister conflict, since he (and NOT the Lannisters) actually poisoned Sir Arryn, and had Lysa write a letter to Catelyn blaming the Lannisters for his murder?
