Gotta earn those Andrew Christian product placement $$$ somehow

In the Red for Filth episode in season 5 Alaska came in with a pretty comprehensive list of shots that she wanted, even though Michelle didn't get what she was doing at all. Some of the weaker queens just came in with a super basic setup ("New York City, home for me!" "That's Tokyo.") This episode made it look like

If it IS strategic, Alaska knows it's a safe strategy, because it's playing out the same as season 5. The unknown quantity this time is Katya rather than Jinkx, but taking her out of the equation Alaska can keep playing the way she is now and eliminate queens in the same order and she will win, like she would have in

I'm sticking to my conspiracy theory that they're trying to throw lipsynchs so they don't have to send anyone home. LSFYLegacy truther

It was very 90s, grunge, riot grrl movement aesthetic…

I was SO PROUD of Katya this week though! Season 7 Katya would have crumbled under that workroom critique. Katya Zamolodchikova, All Star, went with her gut on a concept she knew was good and that she was confident she could execute. That's the Katya humour we see on Unhhhh that usually doesn't translate well on RPDR.

I really wanted Michelle to deliver her big "NO!" finger-wag speech about cliques when that decision was handed down. Maybe next week?

I was SO glad for the mini challenge and workroom. More of that please! This season has shown more than any other exactly how much of the work the queens do at home and then bring with them (they even had their golf quick drag preprepared this week), and while that's fine I do miss the more organic, improvised feel.

Tati's behind the scenes was funnier than her actual commercial, disappointingly. When I saw her runway look I got genuinely concerned for Katya because it was making Tati look like a serious contender again. One day I will stop falling for their stock editing tricks…

Interesting to see Alaska, originally one of the bigger proponents of the "we go on the judges' critiques and break any ties with runway" pact, clearly go off-script tonight to save Roxxxy after everyone made a huge deal of Alyssa allegedly having done the same the other week (even though in Alyssa's case she was

Which was always going to happen - picking queens off from around the edges. I didn't watch the preview for next week and I won't because I can't stand RPDR preview Frankenstein-editing, but it makes me worry for Katya. She is a stronger all-around contestant than Tati but that makes her doubly easy to pick off (not

Detox isn't on Roxxxy's level of underperformance for me, but she's not really delivering for me either. But I felt the same way in season 5 - she was a contender until suddenly she wasn't.

1. I got the sense Roxxxy was trying to bow out a little today too. I think she knows she's punching above her weight at this point in the competition.

I completely agree. I enjoy the absurdity but after five episodes (any word how long this season will be?) it feels a little adrift. Especially because so much plot happened in the pilot (Earn going to find Alfred because he needed money, the establishing stuff with Van and his daughter, the shooting, Alfred

You're spot on, and the reentry of Tati this week makes me almost certain that if things play out the way most fans are assuming and Alaska (Obvious Frontrunner) and Katya (Fan Favourite Underdog) go top 3, Tati will either be the third or the fourth (a la Darienne) to fill out that final four as both the Pretty One

"She's the meta drag queen."

I wanna know whether they reconstructed those outfits after they were eliminated, because what are the chances all the queens who happened to be eliminated first prepared their two-in-one looks in black and gold? What would have happened if Katya had been eliminated? The behind the mirror revenge aesthetic would have

You can also reliably Watch this Series in Ascension Island, quite shortly after it airs too.

"You know what doesn't make sense? You not being on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars. I just watched the first episode. Why aren't you on there? Did they ask you?

As soon as the lipsynch started I was hoping Ru would pick this as the time to use the double-save. I might regret that later in the season, but it was the right choice.
