I'll consider spewing up some MRA bullshit here to make the complainers feel better.

I heard the same advice after finishing season 4 of True Blood. But I don't know, watching a good series evolve into a trainwreck is nothing short of fascinating.

I fear not enough people watch Monsieur Lazhar as they think it's some shitty "inspirational" movie about an amazing teacher, Dead Poets Society-style. It's in fact a way subtler and heart-breaking movie.

Movies !
Virgin Mountain (Fúsi) : Excellent Icelandic movie about an obese and shy man who happens to be one of the nicest people in the world. It's a charming and moving film. It's especially good as it avoids the usual "He's so nice that eventually nice things will automatically come his way" trope (that kind of

Are you quoting Bill Hader ? "He's like the Daniel Day Lewis of only doing one thing" ? Funnily enough, Bill Hader is in that movie.

The important thing is you didn't lie about the mustache.

That's what they want you to think

Finally a cobbler with magical powers, the way we usually are !

"Hey, he's a piece of garbage, but I love my fourth kid !" Tom McCarthy about his children.

Oh, I agree it would be supremely easy to make a terrible, Dan-Brown-like adaptation out of it, and yes, the plot would have to be simplified. But, as a reader, we are supposed to feel lost in the labyrinth of conspiracy invented by the protagonists. An intelligent adaptation would have to do the same : cut out one

"Almost… almost…"

That's a sad loss. But I'm happy he had time to finish one last movie before he passed away. I thought Cosmos was quite insufferable at times, but it's proof Zulawski remained uncompromising til the very last day.

VAGUE SPOILER
That scene appears very late in the movie, so that's kind of a shitty move to put it in the trailer.

Not enthusiastic kudos, but kudos nonetheless…

The only 100% movie that's also on my own top 10 list of all time is also one of the least famous. The Taste Of Others is a gem of a movie, in a really unassuming way.

Is the Exorcist book any good ? Did someone read it around these parts ?

If you were a film critic, would you give North by Northwest a 'Rotten' review ? You say you enjoyed it, so I guess not. That means your review would go into the gigantic 'Fresh' pile, and leave the 100% intact.

You didn't even try ! No kudos for you !
